Every version of my portfolio
I have rebuilt this site eight times since 2020. Rather than retire the old ones, every version is still online, each at its own address. Pick any of them below.
The live site also has a time machine that flies you between versions through a wormhole. It needs the room, so it only appears on desktop — on a phone or tablet, this list is the way across.
Circular Jul. 2020
The first one. A radial menu that fanned links out around a central avatar, built in React while I was still learning what a component was.
Single Page Feb. 2021
A reaction to the first: everything collapsed onto one scrolling page, no navigation to get lost in.
Hexagons Apr. 2021
A hexagonal tiling experiment. Projects lived in a honeycomb grid, and the CV finally got a download button.
Rainbow Dec. 2021
Saturated gradients and heavy colour transitions — the most maximalist version, and the last of the plain Vite SPAs.
Minimalist Sep. 2022
The correction. Type, whitespace, and almost nothing else, after two years of adding things.
Astro Apr. 2023
Rebuilt on Astro for static output and near-zero client JavaScript, with glitch-text effects and case-study sections.
Remix Dec. 2024
A paper-and-rubber-stamp theme on Remix — approval seals, pins, and printed textures over a server-rendered core.
Garden Mar. 2026current
The current portfolio: a digital garden of projects and writing that grows in place instead of being replaced.
